Default INVIDIA N1 vs. SPEC D which is louder???

So can anyone give me some insight on what would be louder, the cheap (hks replica) the Spec D Catback, or the Invidia N1? I know there is about a $300 difference but I’m just wondering which is louder? I have heard the N1 in person and it sounds good and is real loud, but I’m not sure on how it compares to the Spec D Catback. Which is louder and how do they compare/contrast sound wise?

The single exit exhaust will always be louder than a dual exit.

Also, you may be disappointed with the decibel levels unless you also replace your catalytic converters, with something more free flowing.

Although I would warn that the car will sound great on a high rpm pull, it will sound like chewbacca in normal aspects of driving.

Straight pipe... see you in a week when you realize how annoying living with it is.

I’m not necessarily looking for a louder exhaust, I’m just trying to compare because I’ve heard how loud the invidia is in person and I want to know how loud it is compared to the Spec D which I have not heard.
(the invidia is a dual tip).

Invidia is "loud" yes, but has a respectable tone to it. In my opinion the HKS is border line horrendous, complete ricer mode even before it was replicated with cheaper metal quality (will have more drone)

Going to hazard a guess here that the Invidia N1 is going to be louder just based on the fact that N1 type cylindrical mufflers hardly rate to be called "mufflers". Notoriously loud and obnoxious. At least the Spec D has Heimholtz gens.

But the thing that gets me here is that there's no discussion of power gains, only noise levels. Sigh.....

That’s a good point, ok so I’d naturally assume that the more expensive (invidia) has better power gains. But the invidia is a single pipe that splits into two tips, while the Spec D is true dual, wouldn’t a true dual set up provide better airflow resulting in better power? Or is that not the case?

Someone on here measured the metallurgy and found the Invidia to be true stainlesss while the cheapo knock off is made of a cheap allow. You're paying for quality in the Invidia. As far as airflow is concerned, unless you're going FI, won't matter.

Cat back exhaust? Still has cats? Not even changing a Y-Pipe? No tune?
I can tell you how much power each and every single exhaust will make. 0.

Cats and Y pipe section make 95% of the gains. Hell cats you will loose power with out a tune.
