Windshield right cowl cover install help...
Has anyone removed the passenger side windshield cowl cover? I’m having trouble putting it back on. I can’t seem to line it up properly. Thanks!

Yeah, I've taken mine off.
There's little tabs that go under the windshield itself. If you don't get them line up just right, either the tabs will be on the wrong side of the glass, creating a gap, or you can't slide the glass between the tabs and the rest of the cowl.
Judging by your pic it looks like the tabs toward the center of the car aren't lined up with the glass properly.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find anything on YouTube. I had a feeling those tabs had something to do with it. They are wrapped in protective glue & I wasn’t sure if they are supposed to go over or underneath the glass because some of the tabs were closed shut. I’ll give it another try. I’ll use a flathead screwdriver to pry them open so the tabs would fit under the glass. Thank you!

There are 4 tabs covered in protective foam that hold the plastic to the rubber seal. The tab where my thumb is (closest to the outside edge of the glass) goes underneath the glass, but where do the remaining 3 tabs starting from where my index finger is go? Do they sit on top or the bottom of the glass as well?

I've taken mine off more than once. As I recall, all the tabs should slide "under" the windshield glass. There should also be an alignment tab that snaps into the driver's side cowl. The rubbery foam is just there to help seal that area up from debris and prevent vibration/rattles/scratches. This piece of cowling covers up the intake for the vehicle's AC blower and there's no cabin filter on 350Zs. You should also see some round hose clips (about 1/4") at the front of the cowling (engine bay side) where your window sprayer line clips in before snaking down the side of the battery tray.
If your tabs are bent over, someone must've improperly re-installed it in the past during previous maintenance (battery replacement). These pieces of cowling are a little tricky to get installed just right. You have to go slowly, don't force it, the corner glass/fender piece is the hardest part in my opinion. If you rush it, you will end up scratching the heck out of that part.

Thank you everyone for the input. I’ll take another crack at it ( no pun intended). I never would have imagined how much of a pain this piece can be to reinstall.
