Default Help: Flywheel bolts to short

Changing out clutch pp anf flywheel. Upgrading to a stage three clutch. I bought a kit and the bolts are not long enough because the flywheel is thicker.

Is this common?
Do they sell a bolt kit?

Ive tried local hardware stores and fastenal and have had no luck

thanks in advance

which clutch are you going with?

You will (likely) need OEM star / torx bolts - M10 x 1.0. I could not find them anywhere and Nissan had to order them in. I ended up using the bolts I took out.

I ordered the the ARP bolts and they were incompatible with the JWT flywheel as were the OEM automatic transmission bolts.

Thank you for reply. I have the oem bolts however they are too short. I need them to be 1/4”-1/2” longer than oem. Didnt know where to get them

The bolts im using are off manual transmission/flywheel but only stick through the flywheel about 1/4”

The clutch is the clutch max stage 2 off ebay. Its a really cheap kit. But the car is a salvage title car thats being used one time in a 24 hr endurance race

Did the flywheel and clutch kit come as a combo unit? Or are you trying to mix and match? You need to be very careful about this since not all aftermarket flywheels will work with all aftermarket clutches.

Also - are you installing the flywheel with the cranks pin and flywheels corresponding mating hole lined up?

If OEM is too short look into Fastenall ... they had M10 x 1.0 at different lengths but they had to order them in and I didnt want to wait.

post up some pictures

Nevermind, I just realized you had a separate thread regarding this clutch kit and it is a flywheel/clutch combo. Did the kit not come with new flywheel bolts?

As beal said, make sure you properly align the tiny hole in the flywheel with the dowel pin on the crank. Failure to do so will cause massive problems!
