Looking to buy a 350z/370z
I知 going to be 18 next month wanting to own my dream car! I致e done a lot of research on the 350z. I知 looking for a 350z around Oklahoma just not across the country. I知 wanting a manual HR but I know those can be hard to come by. I知 hoping for a 350z under 5k something that is in good condition. I知 also new to the forums but if anyone see a 350z in good condition that is manual preferably HR. Thank you!!

If you've got the money, sure. But don't spend it all on the car, maintenance, and insurance! Being 18 with a 2-door RWD coupe insurance is going to hurt. Plus the Z has more quirks and a higher maintenance cost than your typical Honda/Toyota.
"Everywhere"...? That's a bold statement and one I would contend, especially considering I just bought my 2nd HR. Most HRs in good shape are $7.5k+, OK shape for $6-7k. Only thing I've seen in the $5k range is a salvage/rebuilt title, and even most of those the sellers are asking $6k+.
Now having said there, there is a manual gray Enthusiast trim Z for sale in Phoenix I noticed on AutoTrader... It's the only one I've seen in the 5s, and the seller literally lowered the price below $6k within the last 2 weeks. I'd ****** it up if I didn't live across the country.

In all Honesty find what ever care you can with the lowest miles that's taken care of the best.
I'm not trying to sound like an ******* here but if you only have 5k then you arn't going to be turboing it or spending thousands in mods anytime soon.
Get the best shape and best taken care of car you can of any year, make sure it's a manual. Don't give that up. Then get an exhaust and intake, maybe a tune later on down the road. If you come in to some money later, sell yours and buy an HR/370z
Trust me when I say you will enjoy a well sorted DE more than a beat to **** HR. Try to find any trim that's not a base (Id argue this is more important than an HR) just to get the VSLD, the VSLD sucks compared to a Quafe or tomei or wavetrack, but it makes a HUGE diffrencce in launching the car and in corners.

"350z under 5k something that is in good condition..."
Oxymoronic comments of the week.
Welcome to my350Z. Presume you came from Facebook where the DE haters all abound. The HR-or-nothing Kool Aid is strong there.
So here's your dilemma: everyone wants an '07+ 33 right or wrong. Because of that, prices have soared. Finding one in "good condition" - at least for <$5k - is not happening anytime soon. (And if you do, it's likely salvage or one that's been put away wet on a regular basis.)
The reality: As has already been stated by many, with your budget, you're looking at earlier (pre-07) Zs with higher mileage. Not that that's terrible. Lots of us (if not "most") here have DE-powered cars. And the truth of the matter is if you find a $5k early car with a good owner that has good records (key point), you're best off buying that. Sure, the HR is arguably a better motor. It had better be, it's a newer generation and by that virtue, a VHR is even better than an HR. But don't discount a nicely maintained DE car. IOW, be real with your expectations. Oh, and if you truly want the "right car", you're going to need to expand your search area because the right one is probably in the next state or farther away.
Oh, and figure out that a $5k budget does not include incidentals, base line servicing, regular maintenance, insurance, tags, etc. Best to have $$ in reserve for those things your "dream car" is going to NEED regularly. I mean, even an oil change with proper synthetic will run $50. Add in things like a coilpack here and there, cam sensors, crank position sensor, tires, etc.; that is, the usual stuff that needs R&R, all adds up.
Good luck! Love to see you prove me and everyone here wrong while being honest.
