Default Tires 350Z

My wife’s 350 has original Potenzas that need replacement . Are these still a good choice if they’re available ?
Any other recommendations for just average street use ? It never leaves the garage in winter .

I have no idea for the Z . I’ve found Pirellis and Goodyear’s in the correct sizes but don’t have any idea how Z owners like them .

Depends. Stock 17s or 18s? If your wife's got the original Potenzas, they're definitely not made anymore. "Potenza" applies to many Bridgestones and is a generic name. If you stick with Bridgestone, I like the S-04 Pole Position but their all weather offering is not bad for general use. (See below)

Try this list: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...earDiameter=18

Any of these will meet the "average street use" criteria. A lot depends on where you are and if you need/want all seasons (vs, say, a Max Perf "dry" weather tire). Personally, I opt for max performance grade because I can where I am.... Continental, Michelin on the upper $$ scale and Kumho PS91 and Sumitomo HTRZ3 on lower end. I hesitate going any lower than that but that's me. (I have spare sets so life is another "no matter" for me.)

Tires are subjective. What are you doing with them? Do you care about rain? are you drag racing? Need more lateral cornering grip? Do you care about noise? Do you care about how fast they wear?
There is no one perfect tire.

The RE50As are ok. but tire technology has advanced quite a bit since then.
Michelin Pilot sport 4 S is the new replacement for the Pilot super sport. Good all around tire can handle rain and better than most brands best extreme summer tires but its expensive. This is probably the best tire to daily on period.
Michelin Pilot Cup 2s if you want the best cornering grip money can buy (on the street)
Bridgestone Potenza S0-4s if you want a "good" all a rounder that can do rain, isnt expensive lasts awhile
Toyo 888r / Bridgestone re71r Step down from the cup2s but a step up from the ps4s for dry handling

These cars wear more heavily on the rear wheels for obvious reasons. I'm running all four Michelin Pilot Sport's in the rear I have the AS3+ Which is more of a touring compound. Up front I use the 4s which is gripier. This shpuld help them wear more evenly. Its been about 6 months and so far I love them. The flip side is that they're going to run about 250 each off of tire rack. But you get what you pay for.

I also run the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3. Very good wet and dry handling for an all season tire. My car hibernates in the winter.
