I bought Timken rear wheel bearings on EBay advertised as made in Japan . Photo says NTN Japan on inner race. The bearings came packaged in yellow boxes clearly saying made in China. Now what ? Can I sue ? My installer's fee was $400 .
Last set of timkens i got were from china as well for our rogue. Was pretty pissed since i was trying to avoid buying chinese bearings. So far they seem to be better than the moogs that were in it that only lasted a year. Seems nearly all manufacturers are going to china. Centric might be the only US brand now and not even sure on those. Highly doubt you can sue. Just use there warrantee if needed.
No. . . but you can file a claim with your credit card company for not receiving what you ordered and get the cost of the bearings back(Amex is REALLY really good with this)
Even had this issue with rock auto. If you understand manufacturing and suppliers you honestly don't know what you are getting and where it is from till you receive it. The supplier on ebay would not have even known. They would only know that it was a timken part.
Ya, but eBay(Chinese sellers) constantly misrepresent their items. I've purchased maybe 4-5 security camera's that were advertised as 1080p and received all 720p camera's, which is why I only use an American Express when I shop online.
