My nephew has a 2003 base model and he bought a set of wheels that were on a 2013 and he already bought spacers but he was told he also needs hub centric rings. I have not been able to check them to see. What else will he need. I think I read on here that he will need the newer lug nuts. Any help is appreciated. I am going to try and add a pic of the wheels. We will see how that goes😆 They are Rays if that helps

Hub rings NOT needed. Whoever told him that was full of sh.... That's an OE Nissan wheel. ALL Nissan wheels are 66.1 center bore for <wait for it> 66.1mm hubs.
Spacers, yes. As you mentioned, already purchased. Just make sure what were purchased are hub centric (66.1mm) and for those Z34 Sport wheels, should be at least 20mm wide (to bring the offset down to a more Z33 friendly +27mm. (Or 25mm wide for a little more flush fit.. Either is fine.)
Lug nuts, yes. Must use the shanked 370Z lug nuts. (Below) NEVER mount OE 370Z wheels with lugs from 350Z or any other 60-deg conical lug nuts (AKA "tuner lugs"), the lugs WILL loosen. Not "if", but "when."
Better safe than sorry. Not sure which hubrings "they" would have tried to sell your son. 66.1 to 66.1? Assuring a non-fit fershur..... Hahahaha.
He is supposed to be checking the the spacers today to see if they are the right ones. He went to a local tuner shop that may or may not know what they are talking about. Will know for sure when he checks the spacers.
As usual Mic's wheel advice is spot-on. For 20mm slip on spacers you may want to add longer lug bolts imho.
Thanks John, just have too much time on my hands filling up the wheel accessories drawer.
On this note I'd add that 20mm SLIP-ON spacers absolutely REQUIRE longer studs (and one will have extreme difficulty even getting the lug nuts threaded onto standard studs!) While slip on spacers are safer and less problematic (when used with appropriate length studs!), it's usually easier to buy/use the bolt on spacers. (Rarely see slip ons for anything over 10mm.) I seem to have emphasized the studs here. No joke. I tried 10mm slip on spacers and after a quick run in the hills, they were already loose. No thanks.
I have a set of extended studs I've just been too lazy to put on. In addition to lazy, it'll mean that I'll need new open end lug nuts unless I'm using spacers. And to further the conundrum, the wheels may not fit properly because the studs may then contact the backside of the wheel relief holes. And TBH, don't really care for how open end lug nuts look . Ahhh aesthetics....
Thanks, He said the are bolt on and he also says they are the right spacers with the 66.1 mm hub.
Understood. The added maintenance of checking torque of both lug nuts AND bolt ons instead of 1 and done longer lug bolts isn't my idea of fun, but hey-
it's not my car. Enjoy!
btw Z1Motorsports.com has 20mm slip ons and 20mm bolts available as a kit. Gl!

Not a biggie if/when doing regular wheel swaps. That's why it's important to have many sets. Laff......
