Ur username would have been complete if you changed the 5 to a 6....last year.

But as a check, your are not leaking anywhere underneath? Good to check if there are any wet spots around the engine? Common areas would be valve covers, front/rear main seals, camshaft sensor, spark plug #6. almost 3 quarts gone in 550 miles is pretty tough. I'm not saying that you'll recover anymore than a full quart in these areas but good to see if you are leaking.

There are no wet spots anywhere. Pulled the spark plugs and it's dry in there so the motor is burning it plus the mix of it coming out of the tailpipes. Was hoping there would be a fix that didn't involve replacing/rebuilding the motor

man! I've seen some VQ35DE motors for sale on FB marketplace around MA.

Hey Tom,

It's either your valve stem seals or piston rings or both. Before pulling the engine, get a leak down test done at a reputable shop in conjunction with a compression test. The results should allow you to determine the main issue(s).
