Default Value of stock cats?

I am parting out a 350z. A guy wants to buy my stock cats as he needs to pass inspection. For most parts I just check car-parts.com for value. No cats listed there. Any idea what the value is?

I was offered 200 for mine. But he also wanted me to ship them. That would of been 50-70 buck because of the weight. They are still sitting in my garage.

If you google it, the range in price is from $170 to $1,100~(which is obviously insane). I'd say the most a consumer like myself would be willing to spend would be like $450..tops, for a good set.

Guy only offered $100 for both. Seems too low. I should call and find out what they are worth for scrap.

I sold my old stock cats ($120 for the pair) to a guy who buys them for scrap - they had 129k miles on them.

I had found some low-mileage take-off cats to put on my Z when I replaced the entire exhaust system from the exhaust manifolds back this year. I paid $125 for the pair of take-offs - found them on craigslist.

Most go for $150-300 if no codes. The hard part is the weight and people don't want to pay $90 shipping. I had my OEM 06 FR/RR brake kit sold to a guy 150 miles away for a fair price and he bailed over shipping cost.

I purchased a clean (no rust, no dents/rash, and no busted or cracked welds), low mileage, used set for $180 (came off a 06 G35). Condition/Mileage will make a huge difference in price. If your Z has very high mileage, odds are the CATs won't have much life left in them, making the value very low. In short, $100 - $200 is about what I would expect for a pair of OEM cats. The values could be much higher in states like CA because of the draconian C.A.R.B. rules.

DE or HR Cats?

DE = $100 - $180
V/HR= $300 - $500 currently.

I know that since I'm trying to buy one or borrow one myself haha.

Yeah, maybe, but that's still ten people who should not have thrown away their cats.

And yes I can buy a coke. On sale, 12-pack is $5.99 (and lower) so juuuuuuust under fitty cent. Yeah yeah, I drink far too much diet soda....
