We don't know much about this motor swap, but the white smoke is an indication of water or antifreeze being burned. The old and damaged VQ also had a lot of white smoke, so it could be that some of the debris got passed through the exhaust. Why not start by pulling the Y-pipe and checking for pooling in the cats and/or original exhaust?

Hey ya’ll, good news. After driving it for a few days the smoke has gone away, and I even passed CA smog. So all is well, thank you again for the responses!
