Just replaced all the rear knuckle bushings with stiffer rubber ones.

Wondering what you guys this is the best way to preload the rear suspension before torqueing them down. With the front I could just lower onto ramps and then torque everything. Can't do that with the rear.

I've hear jacking up each corner off the suspension until it comes off the jack stands sort of works but isn't ideal. Was thinking of maybe trying to put doughnuts on the rear and then lowering it onto the ramps but I still think it would be too tight.

Any bright ideas?

Jack the car up by the rear end. Place jack stands under the rear lower control arms as close to the tires as possible. Lower the jack.

Which arms? The spring bucket arm? I don't think it can be done from the knuckle as it's such a crazy shape and I don't trust it to hold

Under the actual spring bucket. Use another set under the pinch welds, but don't let them take any weight. Use them just as a back-up.

OK, I will grab an extra set of jack stands and try that. Have you actually done this before and it worked out just fine?

Yes. I've done it on several different makes/models. You can also leave the jack under the pumpkin, just make sure it's not actually touching.
