Default Best aftermarket catalytic converter?

Looks like my son bought a 2006 350 with test pipes and I need to switch back to cats to get the car through emissions ! Any suggestions as to the “better “ aftermarket brand?

I have Z1 High Flows on my car, they have an extended o2 sensor tube so there's no check engine light.

If you need pass inspection will HFCs be ok? As for brands of HFCs, Z1 are smaller and louder, you will also smell more fumes. Berk are pretty good, more quiet and less fumes. I've had both, same as far as quality go. One advantage to the Berk ones is they have additional bungs for widebands if you desire that.

I don't have experience replacing cats specific to the Z with aftermarket units. When I replaced the cats on my Z, it was with good low-mileage OEM ones I found on Craiglist.

For other vehicles, I have used discountconverter.com for direct-fit replacements (on a '92 Audi 100S and a '96 Dodge Ram 5.2L), and most recently a Walker part for a 2012 Chevy Equinox bought from Rock Auto. None threw codes after replacement. I also replaced the O2 sensors at the same time, too, though.

Default Emissions requirement

Currently have CEL that will stay off for about 20 - 30 miles before coming back on. Seem to only get the same 2 codes each time- P2A00 and P2A03.... which reference O2 sensors...bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1( Pics show current set up with condition of the two ( downstream?) sensors...

hamilton county , TN does a visual ( mirror under car) and then the gas cap / pressure test...

read in some of the comments on this site that eliminating cats will often do this? Even if I don’t install cats and hope for the best at emissions how do I get rid of that irritating light😂?

new sensors? All of them?

Default Got through emissions

Car got through emissions as is- but still has the CEL popping on- I’ll worry about cats next year when emissions is due again😂

now- suggestions on how to get rid of the irritating light- leaving current test pipes as is.( pics of downstream sensors higher up in thread if that helps- will try and get pics of upstream ones!

thanks

i know its late but figured it might help someone. I have Berk HFCs and i pass NJ emissions with them. Or have at least the past 4 times i've gone. No CEL, no problem, but also no real power from them.
