Took my 2006 touring in to Nissan just to see what they would say about my light always being on( bought the car 2 months ago)
they were kind enough to check all 4 sensors, reset the light without charging me.... on the way home it came on again......BUT! I was able to check the tire pressure gauge and the only one that was not reading was the front left! So at least we got that far.
question! Do I just replace that one- and will it play nicely with the other three that are reading- and if so is there one particular one that works best- have no idea what the brand is of the other 3.....
cheers
So I believe it’s the drivers side front?

Batteries are at least 15 years old, I would replace all 4 personally
This. ^^^
You could replace one and it'll work fine but the other three will follow eventually/shortly. One trip to the shop or four? So, what's your time worth?
You don't need to go to the dealer either. Any good tire shop can handle it and sync them up. Or just wait until you need new tires and have it all done at once with tires off. You can use a gauge and ignore the TPMS indicator in the meantime.
How does one install the sensors without a trip to a tire mounting machine? Or is this just the programming side?
Valid point. This was just a reference for the programming side of things. Or, in the event you are one of "those" who have multiple sets of wheels and tires with tpms that you switch out throughout the year or just for kicks.
I know you definitely don't fall into that category.
Well- after 2 days one of the rear tires in not showing pressure- so now I have one in the front and one in the rear..... guess that answers whether to do one or all of the sensors.....
