Default 2006 rev up ?

Okay so I have a question is it possible that my 2006 is a more earlier model that didn’t come with the revup. For over a year I owned my car I didn’t do much tinkering with it besides oil change and I assumed I have a rev up. So a few months ago I actually had to replace my valve covers and when I was working on it, it fully clicked to me that’s it’s a vq35de non rev up which really got me thinking is it possible that my car is a earlier model. I’m positive it’s a 2006, I looked up the vin and it told me its an 2006 enthusiast model. And my redline does start at 6500 on my tech. the only thing is I never did bounce my limiter so idk were precise it bounces. Any reply would be much appreciated 🤙🏻

The 2006 Z33 was a crossover model in a couple of ways. Depending on whether your Z was a manual or an auto, it used the revup VQ or the VQ35DE, respectively.

funny....this just came up in another thread. Apparently, only RevUps went into manual tranny 06's and the anniversary model. There is a way of looking at the front of the engine and the cam covers (I believe) and there is a diff. so you might want to search some images of DE vs RevUp.

yes that’s how I came to conclusion it’s a DE. The de covers is more smoother then rev up but now that you said that it may have only came in the manuals or anything above the anniversary it does make sense. But idk if it matters but my car did come with the stock 350z 25th anniversary wheels 😂🤷🏻‍♂️
