Hey guys
ive looked a bit through the forum and noticed a lot of guys use the dynamat for sound deadening and have had good results. However it doesn’t say how much they had to use to do the whole car. Also, in addition to the square footage of material needed, what other products are comparable but hopefully more affordable than dynamat? I see some people used hushmat and possibly a couple others? Any advice would be appreciated
thanks

On my MB Quart install, I used a 1 X 1' square behind the front doors for the separate woofers. Nothing for the tweets, as I stuck with the OEM sail panel location. The rear coaxes also got a small layer of dynamat behind the rear speakers. While this wasn't a high-end install, combined with a USX-2100 amp, the sound is a dimension above what the stock system provides (thin praise indeed).

No- but my goal was to keep weight and complexity as low as possible for my Z. Staying true to the spirit of the car was a priority. But it turns out that even small details help when ratcheting up sound quality.
