So the other day i just finished my timing. I put everything back together ready to go. I go to start it and it only cranks. Has spark but no fuel. I scan it and it wasnt able to communicate with the ECM. I sent the ECM out to a repair shop and they tested it and told me nothing was wrong with it. I was thinking maybe a ground was bad or loose. Only things i took off for timing was the pulleys and cover. What are your thoughts?

Welcome and I moved this thread to a more appropriate forum. Let's start with a few more details about your Z before we can express any thoughts:
-How many miles are on it and how long have you owned it?
-Why did you need to take off the pulleys in the first place? Was the VQ running normally before this "repair"?
-After the ECM returned from the repair shop, did you reconnect it and try to run another scan for codes?
-Have you checked all fuses and relays?
-Are you getting fuel pressure?

So you've done an engine swap from a VQ35DE to a VQ37VHR? That would have been a essential fact to lead this tread with!
Who did the swap?
Did you utilize the engine harness and ECM from the salvaged VQ37VHR?
Has this engine ever run in the Z before?
