![Question](https://my350z.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have an 05 350Z touring, i have been doing alot of work to it and i shorted the cruise control cancel switch on the brake pedal. Now the cluster lights up, i can use the turn sig., the high beams and all the dash lights work. I checked all the fuses and wiring going to and from the a/c amp and the cluster with a DVM and all check out. I just replaced the motor and want to start driving the car but with no mechanical gauges working i cant.
I have 1 code, p0463 Fuel level sensor A circuit high input. Im guessing it is from me shorting it connector out.
Can some one point me in the right direction?

The cluster is driven by the unified ac amp unit, and speaks CAN/K-line (spending on what year your Z is). If you’ve cooked the amp, time for a replacement.
Search for the FSM on Nicoclub and start with the Driver Information chapter (DI-XX). You’ll see the pinouts, functional descriptions, and diagnostic steps for the cluster.

yeah, thats all the same info i have in the chilton manuals. nothing points to the cancel switch being ties to the combination meter or the ac amp. i think i might have to take out the dash and go through the harness to see if there are any bad wires. i have a used ac amp coming in wed. so heres hoping its the problem and swapping them will fix it.
