Default no cats and not flame?

I recently installed resonated test pipes, a solid straight pipe to replace my resonator pipe, and a muffler all Megan Racing brand. I did take the silencer out of my exhaust tip. I've tried quite a few times to see if I'd shoot flames without a tune and I've searched around google and it doesn't seem I need to get it tuned. I am on stock downpipe/y-pipe but I doubt that has anything to do with it. As well as my passenger test pipe is leaking a tad which I will be fixing the next time I go under the car, but I don't believe that's the reason it's not shooting flames either. It is a manual transmission which I know sometimes can play a role. If anyone has any suggestions on why I'm not shooting flames that'd be great

Here's a way to shoot flames out of a Z.

But he's a star with his Instagram tune.

Ping it off the rev limiter for about 5 minutes. the fuel will build up in the muffler and eventually ignite.

OK, reality check here. A Z (or other) can (and will) shoot flames if that's what you're going for. But the only two places one sees that is in a parking lot at a meet (show) or on the track. Keep in mind that a Z (or any other modified car) with real hardware like turbo(s), wastegates, big cams with plenty of overlap, high volume fuel delivery system, high(er) compression, etc. is going to yield exhaust flames on overrun due to the nature of these modifications. It is the inherent result of drop-throttle fuel dumps as the unspent fuel has to go somewhere. NOT just because of exhaust modifications. Like I said earlier, ya want showoff flames to ruin your exhaust system, get UpRev (or other) flame map tune for those almighty Instagram points.

I never saw flames from mine, but people said it happened entering corners with a proper heal toe downshift

Drop jaw. He was shocked. "YOU?! Have never seen Fast & Furryous?! C'mon!!!!!" Strangely though, I know most of the characters and plot lines. Tried watching a few times, zzzzzzzzzzzzz..... Maybe time to try again.

I like closer-to-reality in movie car depictions. (Hello, "Bullitt"?) Too bad some of the people inspired to street drift because of F&F prefer the altered state of "reality".

Get off my MF lawn.

Well, Mic, I'm going to go ahead and call you old, but that's only because you wear it so well.

I think it's a generational thing. The OG F&F came out in 2001. Myself, I was in college and one of the few people in my high school that was into modifying cars. The original F&F was more realistic than those as of late, but that's a low bar. I think it also brought modifying cars into mainstream culture. I won't lie, I've seen the first one too many times to count and I feel I'm not alone with others on here when we derail threads by quoting it ad nauseum. I think it started out as something simple and now it has morphed into something ridiculous. Do I still watch them? Absolutely. They're so stupid, but it feels good to turn off the brain for a couple hours.

Or maybe you're just too uppity

Lol, every time it comes up I'm amazed that people are ok with destroying their exhaust that costs decent money just to impress some brain dead apes. Even if YOU liked them, you'll never see them while driving your car...

Wow. There's those two words in close proximity to my name again. "Old" and "uppity". The first word, respective, is self explanatory owing to my parents' carnal interactions some dozen years after the "Big One".

Ew.

But ya, I can live with that. Not like I have any choice.

But "uppity"?

Hmmmm.... I am puzzled by this labeling. Have I told anyone here the story of my forefathers being royalty (true, from the Zhou Dynasty)? Or, have I told the story of how my own parents were considered "high society"? And that therefore I, as a royal descendant of high society, should be revered? Why, yes, that could define "uppity" as it pertains to me as the once and future king.

So, OK, "old and uppity." I can think of a lot worse things I could be called.

Lol. It was a tongue in cheek comment. You know I was teasing with that label since you self-described yourself that way in another thread.

Pretty cool story about your ancestry. My grandparents on my father's side were first generation from HK but I doubt there's any royalty in my blood.

I shall now refer to you with your rightful title, King Mic.

This **** doesn't even surprise me any more. Same problem with Evos and fcking ricers wanting to do ricer things with great cars that are now affordable to ricers. Bet he's gonna have another post about the cheapest way to get pops and bangs.
