on my 05 350Z the fans are not always coming on when they are supposed too. My Husband smacked them with a hammer and they seem to be ok. I still want new ones, what replacement fans do you recommend ? My Z is my Commuter car so I do not need special Racing Parts.

 

oem will be fine... the factory ones lasted 17 years, so new factory should be about the same

I think I will also install a new Thermostat and AntiFreeze too .Any recommend types of those ?

 

OEM both are pretty cheap. (coolant and tstat)

 

Is there a Recommended brand and type Coolant to use in this car ? Not Nissan made ,Prestone , ZEREX ....... ? I know some makes must have a certain type or bad things can happen.

 

I have seen T-Stats from 140 degrees to 170 degrees .What is the better one????

 

I Bought a MOTORAD /GATES 170 degrees tstat . Liz Z and I changed the Coolant installed new Fans and a Tstat. Her Z is now over heater in about 30 mins . We have a Coolant funnel that mounts on the Radiator ,we bled the bleeder screw in the back , the heat is on full blast , the car has the front raised up.I think we bought a BAD Tstat . I think it was bad out of the box . I know it sounds crazy but that is what I think, I think it is not opening all of the way. It just seems to me that the coolant is not moving like it should.

 

We bought the Bleeder Pipe conversion and Thermostat from Z1 now every thing is working FINE . Thank you Z1 autosports
