Broken bolts holding acceleration pedal what to do!?
So I was trying to teach my stepson how to replace the rubber piece on the back side of the gas pedal that recently disintegrated and I made a mistake thinking he knew righty tighty and lefty loosey. To get to this rubber piece that needed to be replaced I had to take off my pedal. Unfortunately, he tightened them instead of loosening them and broke both bolts off
What are my options here?

Look on the firewall . See if they can be drilled out and replaced

These look like they are studs welded onto the back side. If you could knock them out (use a drift and punch them loose through the back and then try to pull out what remains), then you could use rivet nuts to replace them and bolts to hold down the pedal assembly, instead.
Or, drill them out, tap what's left (it would be the head of the stud) and then run bolts to hold the pedal.

Thank y’all for all the replies. After visiting a few shops and getting opinions I decided to drill 3 new holes and run stainless self-tapping screws in.
I was considering doing the rivnuts option but couldn’t find the rivet tool locally so…
