Default Uprev Tuning License Issue

Hello,

I bought a tuned ECU for my 2006 350z as well as a used uprev cable. When I try to reflash my ECU though, it tells me that my cable doesn’t have the license for it. It says that my cable vendor is Stillen and that the ROM vendor is Uprev. The ECU already is licensed and everything, I don’t know what it wants me to do.

The problem is you have a cable that was licensed to Stillen to be sold with one of their bundles with their locked tunes; it can only be used to flash one of Stillen's locked files.

Get a license report from the cable (license report in cable management) and send it to support@uprev.com, tell them you have a stillen cable and need it turned into an Uprev cable. They'll send you back and update that will relicense the cable as a regular Uprev cable and you should be good to go

Thanks for the info! I think uprev is closed for SEMA this week, would you happen to know if they are going to charge me to update the cord?

There shouldn't be any charge, you're not buying anything just having them change the cable into one of theirs from Stillen's locked private label cables. If you'd prefer I can do it for you, just shoot me a PM.

They are all at SEMA this week but should still be answering emails off and on.
