Annual report from the oldest 350Z member on the board.
I turned 86 yesterday and realize I am closer to 90 than 80. That ‘s the way it goes. My 350Z has 134,000 plus miles on it. No major repairs. It gets it’s daily workout around town, mostly within 10 to 15 miles from home base. Still love to drive it but my wife, who turned 89 in March, does not appreciate its “hard” ride.
Got to share an event with the members, particularly those who feel the 350Z don't get no respect. About a month ago I am in the Z and just about to pull out of a parking lot at a local supermarket. A guy in an SUV stops in front of me, lowers his window, and gives me a thumbs up. I acknowledge it, pull out of the lot, and stop at a red light at an intersection. Meanwhile, the guy in the SUV goes out another exit to the road crossing mine at the intersection. He makes a left at the intersection and goes by me beeping on his horn and giving me another thumbs up as he goes by. Since there is nothing remarkable about me I assume the tribute he gave in both instances was for my daily driver. It was a great feeling. I know it is a terrific car but it is very satisfying to know that its greatness is recognized and appreciated by others!

Definitely great to hear from you! Especially when young whippersnappers (YKWYA) give me, in my "old" age, give me grief.
Age is a state of mind. I'm turning three this year. With an occasional physical reminder that I'm "over 30".

On friday I was driving back from the gym after work and I see this black HR Z stock in mint condition.... A white lady in the driver seat. She was in her late 60s maybe even ealry 70s. I throw my thumb up and she smiles back and gives me a ***. We cruised for a good 10 minutes before I had to get on the fwy. I live here in California and Whittier Blvd is a street that many people like to cruise on the weekends. Always good to see these Zs out there. BTW im 43
