Inner Tie Rod... Cant remove it
Hello! I have a 2003 Nissan 350z Coupe Touring, and I am trying replace the inner tie rod, but the part that connects the inner tie rod to the rack is not even close to budging and I feel like i would break the rack if i use a hammer or something, could I have some help?
I'm assuming you're using the inner tie rod tool. I've had a couple of inner tie rods that were on pretty tight. I usually use my long 1/2" ratchet and put the head of the ratchet against the brake rotor and just give it a hard crank loose.
did you pull off the retaining clip? metal clamp that clamps down on all 4 flat edges.
for the driver side you can put a wrench on it then lay down and push it with your foot while bracing yourself. kinda sketch but got mine out that way

I couldnt pry the clip off, so I just bent it off, and that worked, thanks for the help guys
