Roadster - Roof - Speakers - Window -Seat
Hi,
I have just bought a 350z Roadster from 2004 here in Norway. Its original been used in California.
I have a few questions I hope some one could help me with:
I hope someone have some good pointers so I can start in the right end of things
Cheers.
I have just bought a 350z Roadster from 2004 here in Norway. Its original been used in California.
I have a few questions I hope some one could help me with:
- When opening the roof, all is well until the lid is closing behind the seats. I will not go fully down without help. A small gap is visable. But if I help with it with my hand is fine. .. ?
- Seat - The driver seat back-adjustment works when I feels like it. See a few complaints before. Should I just change the switch right away?
- Speakers - I only have sound in my right hand speakers and some in the one behind the passenger seat. There is a Pioneer aftermarket head-unit. Any pointers?
- When closing the left(driver side) door, the window opens half way. This happens 2-3 times. I have to go inside the car, ignition on - close window, and repeat. After a few tries - it stays closed. Fix?
- Anyone know where I can get a KPH gauge instead of my MPH ? Talking about the digital one. Trying to find a website or something...
I hope someone have some good pointers so I can start in the right end of things
Cheers.

1. The storage lid issue could be several things. I would check the storage lid striker lock assembly, the storage lid actuator, or the lock cable could be twisted.
2. Check for loose/dirty connections either at the switch or the motor assembly. The motor's brushes may be worn down as well.
3. Since it's aftermarket, you need to take a deep dive into the back of your head unit to check all of the connections. There's no telling how it was rigged.
4. You need to do a window motor reset/limit switch reset.
5. I assume you'll need to source a non-USDM triple gauge cluster and some type of dealer re-programming, but I honestly don't know. Found this thread on it: https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...h-to-km-h.html
