CEL, SLIP and TCS lights on after hitting rev limit at 6600rpm
I just recently bought a used 2003 manual 350z. Went acculturating quickly onto the interstate I hit my preset rev limit of 6600. I set this limit just to be safe because the car is older with a lot of miles/hours on the engine. After hitting the rev limit these three lights came on. I check the engine code, it was for my cam shaft position sensor bank A. I just recently replaced this exact sensor not even a week ago for the same reason, under the same circumstances. Is this a well known issue? Does hitting a rev limit trigger this code? The car is running fine, no notice issues. I cleared the code and the light did not reaper.
Just curious if this is coming to be worried about, or just a quirk of the Z. Thanks for any feedback.

I just replaced that exact sensor with an OEM not even a week ago. The sensor should be completely fine. I’m thinking that whenever I hit my rev limit there’s a conflict with the engine software that makes the car think I had an abnormal engine event

I set what I assumed was the rev limit on the multi gauge on the dashboard. It definitely limits my revs. I previously set it for 5k rpm and it stopped me there

If the fault code is camshaft sensor a, then that needs to be replaced. If you did not install a quality sensor, then the new one just might not be getting the job done. I replaced both of them on my DE and it cleared same problem. I had both sensors triggered. I was surprised at how great the car ran after that. it had been pulling timing ever since I have owned it and I didn't even know that.
