Hey y’all!
I finally got my header to test pipe gaskets installed on my car, I’m now having a weird vibration I can hear and feel in the gas pedal, there’s no drivability issues as she still keeps up like usual and can horseplay. I’m noticing that when I’m at a stop with my foot on the brake the vibration starts when I’ve turned the wheel a little bit and when I first take off it feels like the exhaust is dragging below my feet. Any help is much appreciated!

But seriously, there's clearly got to be some contact between TPs and either steering gear components, engine or framework. Look carefully for contact points. Poorly fitting aftermarket parts tend to create issues like this.

I’ve checked it over, I wonder if I left a when under the car or not even though I only worked on exhaust components. I can feel it really well on a cold start it feels like it’s right at my feet and I can hear it. I just don’t have the facilities to work on my car this weekend and I’m genuinely tweaking.

Check your engine, trans, and steering rack mounts/bushings. Also get a good look at your steering rack connection to the column shaft, it does run pretty close to the exhaust manifold on bank 2. Quickest way to check engine mounts is to apply a light load on the drive train while holding the brakes (easier to do in an AT). Have a buddy watching the engine bay and if you see the engine lifting/lurching an excessive amount, then the mounts are busted

Also, are you using the OEM exhaust brace that bolts to the transmission for the test pipes? Normally this piece connects in with the CATs, it has some rubber bushings that tend to deteriorate/separate. If you're using that piece, make sure the bushings are properly seated where it bolts to the transmission.

Lastly, you mentioned when you turn the wheel while stopped, the vibration gets worse. You could have a problem with the power steering pump or rack. Do you notice any buzzing noises while putting a load on the power steering system? Any bearing noises from the accessory belts?

It was pretty rough this morning when I started it to head home, no noise when steering anymore but it’s more of a clunking sound under the drivers foot well now. I no noise other than when I start it now, I tried to get a video of the sound after I got home and let it cool down but it seems to be extremely intermittent now and chooses when to make noises. I’m gonna check it out after work tonight.
