Default Leather Seats opinion

Hello everyone,

I wanted to replace my 2008 350z cloth seats with leather seats from leatherseats.com. searching the forums seem to show they are very well regarded.

I'm a little torn if I should just go with all black leather or black leather with grey middle section matching rhe Cars color (k51, silver metalic) .

All black is timeless and looks OEM and goes with anything, but 2 tone color might be more unique. I got samples from them and light gray seems pretty close to the cars paint color.

What do you guys think? I know this is really subjective and not asking anyone to tell me what to think. I like both so just lookkng to hear other people's opinions and maybe who knows someone may have the same exact set up and have pics

Depending on where you live, a two-tone set of seat covers might be cooler than all-black ones.

SD might not be too hot, but ask some Phoenix or Dallas Z owners what it's like in the summer. Black leather seats absorb sunlight and heat.

That's so interesting, never knew that. My other car has black leather seats but never really thought much of it. Good to know!

Ha funny thing is, as soon as I got the car I was surprised how nice the cloth seats looked. They were not only very new looking, but the color was nice too. Plus the car has that new car smell and not sure if it's due to cloth seats or what.

I'll eventually replace them with leather but for now I really like them !

Nice. I’m in Carlsbad and my daughter has the car at school, I hope to get it back one day haha

If you ever need a fair repair place I bring it up to Precision Z in LA. Buy all your parts and they are very reasonable.

They are mechanics not a body shop. But they’ve been in that spot for 50 yrs passed from uncle to grandson and just so so trustworthy.

I found them on this site 15 years ago and have only gone there since - I’d drop it off when I’d go on a business trip out of LAX.

I gave the car to my daughter so last year I replaced the valve covers, hoses, ignition coils, control arm bushings, shocks - about 4k all in. Now with the clutch it drives so smooth. All I need now is a hookup for paint.

It all started when I needed a rear differential bushing and everyone in SD want like 1200$ for it, the deal 2000 and I bought one and they installed it for a few hundred bucks
