hello, got a break from snow today so took the opportunity to enjoy my Z, still learning things about it and being my first RWD. not sure if this is normal but anything I search seems to come back for power steering which the steering input feels fine, just when tight turning like going into a parking spot the front wheels feel like they try to fight each other and bind similar to turning on dry pavement with 4x4. again it could be a normal characteristic of a RWD sports car that I havnt experienced before, maybe the aftermarket wheel sizes I got it with or the cheap coilovers the kid put on. I havnt checked alignment on it yet but seems to drive straight and no abnormal tire wear. if its something I need to look further into that might be my next step.

Sounds like classic wheel fitment issues. Specs on the wheels including the ever so important offset specs?
Have you checked for scraping or do you feel or hear any interference at full lock either direction? Any evidence of such? Wheel guards (lips) on the outer, suspension or inner fenders on the inside. Really need to lift it and check. While lifted (safely please) do a lock-to-lock sweep of the wheel (although with wheels in full droop off the ground, it might not make any contact.) How low is the car?
If you find anything marked, discolored, etc, you might be able to get away with adjusting the COs up and not have to swap wheels if the offsets are within reason.
When the PO put on coilovers, were any of the other suspension components touched and swapped for adjustables (as they should be)? FUCAs (front upper control arms), camber arms/offset bushings, toe arms out back? Without those, allgnment will be worthless other than setting toe.
Point is, you need to do some serious looking around, maybe grab some pix and post them here.
ok sounds good. not sure wheel specs but the tires are 235 in front and 275 in back.
I've looked under the car and doesnt appear anything other than the COs were done suspension wise and not much lower than factory by the look of it.
doesnt appear anything is rubbing or hitting at all. its more of once the wheel angle gets past a certain point which is pretty sharp turn, it stops trying to roll the tires but tries to push the tires to continue straight if that makes sense.
so Ill look into it a bit more then, I did already plan to replace the UCAs and LCAs along with the coils anyway so just move them a little higher on my priority list. maybe Ill see if I can raise these coils a little bit to see if that helps too, thanks!
