A roadster ran at Willows this Friday with 20" wheels. The tire kept coming off, bend the wheel, ruined his track day not to mention the cost of a wheel.
If you plan anytype of performance at all, i would recommend you go with 19" instead of 20". If you go with 20" just plan on street only and alow in your budget for replacing a wheel or two. The profile/sidewall of the tire on 20's for a Z look so small, the tire actually looks flat.
In the end, get what you want. You are paying for it.

if u have the money and looks are your only concenrs than go for the 20's! I went with 19's simply because tire prices would eat me alive. I've seen a couple Z's with 20's and I must admit they look freakin SICK! As for ride comfort, I did notice the ride got a bit stiffer (I went from 17's to 19's). I think with 19's, you would have more of a variety of choices to go with, but I don't know much about 20's. Have fun and enjoy your new wheels whatever u choose.

Why so much hating on 20"s? I think they look sweet. I am going with 19"Milanos, but woulda went 20 if I wasnt so concerned about tire prices and bent rims.
As everyone else said, the 20s will reduce some performance, and quite a bit if you are going from 17"s to 20"S, but get what you want man... performance vs. looks.

if everybody is so worried about performace why even get 19's? the stock track model wheels are lighter and better for perfomance. most of you people w/ 19's think there is so much difference from 19s and 20's. that is so funny. you know you lost some performance too when you went w/ 19's. what im trying to say is get what look nice to you and if your worried about performance put your stock rims on when your at the track or racing.

I have 20's and I am soo glad that I did it. I put the orginal rims (18's) and it looked very differant... they totally fill out the wheel wells and you can lower it an inch also.

I'd take functionality over looks in a heartbeat. 20" rims is a little too big for me. I'd get 18" LMGT4s or TE37s. Most of the JGTC (Japanese GT Cars) uses only 18" rims.
The 19" versions of these rims look even better but sacrifices weight. If you can live with going a tad slower...
I'd never get 20"ers though.
I don't like the "rubber band" look of the tires 20" rims produces.
Go for a blend of functionality and looks.
Maybe 19" LMGT4s? In black or gunmetal? Nah, that's for me.

personally, I like how 19 looks on the Z, but I am thinking about getting 18's also, cuz to me performance is really important. 20 will look very nice (fabulous Z used 20). Anyway, my point is get the one you think is the best. If you can't decide it, then just get 19s
