Question Road and Track reader's choice awards

Did anyone see it yesterday on speedvision? I must give credit to the STI and RX8 though. They really seemed to like them and they look like decent cars. I was disappointed that the 350Z only finished in 4th place. Oh well, the readers have spoken.

The order was:

1. Subaru STI
2. Maxda RX8
3. Porche GT3
4. Nissan 350Z roadster
5. BMW 5 series

I can see it losing to the Porsche, but the STI and RX8?

I just lost complete respect for their readership.

I saw it also. The poll is just a bunch of readers voting. No big deal.Obviously the 911 GT3 is the best car in that particular field. It was also the most expensive. There is no real way to compare those 5 cars together.Way too different.IMO the STI is very, very ugly.I could care less about its performance figures. It is UGLY.

Yeah, the comparison didn't make sense. It's like comparing apples to oranges. It didn't have much weight for me.

I always thought Road and Track was bit of a higher end car mag..and perhaps its readers a bit more savy...true WRX pretty good car for the money but take away the FI and you've got yourself a really tame/lame car...shoe box with a surfboard spoiler and I think I see woodstock and snoopy using that hoodscoop for a new hangout...maybe I'm just biased???

Oh man I've seen every diss thrown at the STi but not THAT one! People DO get creative when it comes to putting down that car. It definitely inspires people's inner artistic expression.
