Default Feathering TSB dealer outcome...

Well, my Z was in today for the feathering TSB. After reading all the nightmares here, I was worried how my dealer would react. Well, I am very pleased to say the least. They called me and said they took it for a test ride (hopefully not like Ferris Beuller) after they switched them and adjusted the settings - still growling. They contacted Nissan big boys and they approved the new tires - only three days until they come in!

For all those that have had the new tire replacement and toe settings changed - did the "growl" come back after a while??

Oh, and props to Zarzour Nissan, Willoughby Ohio (unless of course, I get my car back and I find a scratch somewhere)

Default Similar Experience

I had a similar experience. Colonial Nissan (just outside NE Philly). Rotated the tires and changed the alignment. (9300miles)

They said the noise was still there and scheduled an appointment 3 days later for the installation of new fronts.

Now at 10,400 and I dont notice any noise.

My Fingers are crossed.

poop.

I am thinking of moving to the Eagle F1's. Perhaps a different tire will not handle the wear pattern in such a noisy manner.

Think about it...

If the feathering was happening on old tires, wouldnt it just repeat on the new tires, assuming suspension and alignment is the same?
