I thought it wasn't possible to due to the design of the car. i.e. there would be to much flex in the car. That picture posted is a pshop.

Well you don't have to remove sides of the roof, just one big chunk of it. I saw sunroof and it looks awful due to the displacement of the roof (it does not fit under the remainder of the roof but it sticks out). I myself would love some company to make my roof removable. And as long as the price is right - I would not mind taking 2 minutes to remove the roof and put it in the trunk. Something like a big size sunroof opening.

That looks like a Targa top, it doesn't have the center support where th et-tops would fasten to.

As for structure the convertible handles it would out anything and I don't think they added much to it from the coupe.

Reinforcements under the car where the roof was cut off...

the entire structure of the roadster is different. All of that extra weight the roadster has comes from the convertible equipment and the reinforcements on the frame of the car, they made the frame around the cockpit lot stronger. It happens with all convertibles.

I am not sure that was so much the case with the 350Z, my understanding was that they built the 350Z with the anticipation of making it a convertible so it was already pretty well reinforced and just added a couple of supports.

I don't have proof but that was what I thought a while bcak from others.
