Default New Enthusiast or Track Model??

I am looking to buy a 350 Z possibly used 2003 or new 2004. What is the opinion on the model of choice? Is the track worth the extra money or go with the Enthusiast and use the extra cash for Volk wheels, etc?
Also would it be better to get the base model and use the difference for engine etc?
I do see the Enthusiast comes with Cruise, Homelink, Alum pedals, HID, TCS and VLSD. So at this point I am thinkg te Enthusiast model, but I wanted advice.
Thanks

if you plan on modding i would go with base/enthusiast b/c wheels, brakes, cai, exhaust etc etc you will wind up replacing anyone so why spend the extra $$$!!!!!!

Thanks guys, I had about decided on the Enthusiast.
After being a long time Corvette owner and Corvette Forum user, I have to say my short time on the 350 group has exposed me to many helpful and out going people.
Thanks

ps, any advice on what the going discount off MSRP is right now?

depends on the dealership and how many other nissan dealerships are in the area. best advice, travel to 2 dealerships and play off both of them and see who can give you the best deal and don't give in

this is tough.
I got the enthuziast. (Pre-order in jan 2003)
If I had it to do again, I probably would've gotten the track,
mostly because of the brembo's. Big brakes for the Z are 4-5 k
alone.
But, if you're planning on dumping the Brembo's anyway, then
get the enthuziast.

If the track model represents the level of upgrading you would do to the Z, then get the track. Upgrading the enthusiast model to the same level of wheels/tires/brakes/spoiler through the aftermarket is cost prohibitive. It's cheaper to buy it from Nissan the way you want it. However, if you would also change some of the equipment on the track model, get the enthusiast since youre not paying for upgraded equipment that you're only going to replace.

i got an '03 enthusiast w/ 10K on the odo...
i looked for a track, but the ones I had looked at had alot more mileage and in not as good conditions as the Enthusiast...
ultimately, I ended up purchasing a full Brembo set from a member here for 1/2 of what i would have paid if i bought the track model....
it really depends on what you are planning for you car....

Just for reference...I'm picking up my enthousiast today. MSRP is like $29,500 maybe (I'll find out exactly today), and I got it for $27,320. I think it's a pretty good price, keeping in mind that I bought my 3.5 Altima from the same dealer/salesperson last year...

Touring For me, i like the touring, it gets you the leather, and the bose, which is what i wanted. But like everyone else said, if you plan on really modding your car, then might as well get the Enthusiast or Performance.

I love my track, and almost went with the touring though. At first i was like wow bose stereo, leather, heated power seats. but then i saw a track with the gold brembos and lightweight forged 18" rims and my decsion was made. Who needs power seats when im the only one who drives it. who needs heat when i drive it when its nice out anyway. The brakes are good on the other models, but for some nice spirited driving with high speed braking, the brembos are amazing. either way you go, you will be happy. And read alittle and the bose sucks goatbutt.
