Hey guys, I was planning on making a bolt on kit. I did it for the IS300. No cutting, is there still any interest?
I am a newb here sorry, not trying to jack any thread, but I have finally sat down to work on this.

you can buy these struts at pep boys for $20 and mount them yourself...

 

Tein also makes some but they require a little modification.

I saw some on one of the forums; heard there was some cutting involved to install and also heard from some buyers who said the the ones they got did not last for long and they did not hold the hood up as high as the prop does. I would like to have some if I could get around those issues. Hood props look like crap!

 

you're talking about the one's on performance nissan's site?

from the pic, they look like they hold the hood up pretty high, but I wouldn't know - never seen it in person.

 

How do you CLOSE the hood with gas shocks without bending it? Right now I drop it from 18", but I never push it, it would bend!
