A friend of mine goes to UF, so it's all good. Once again, thanks a lot for your info though! The owner of a G35 coupe was the one who said the stuff about the engine...an Automatic G35 I might add, one that was sponsored by mommy and daddy

I'm currently at USF...we're the BULLS and our Med School is pretty good, but from what I've heard it doesn't even come close to being in the same league as UF's!!!
Leak is a good QB...it'll be a long time before USF can be considered a Florida contender, they're still slightly behind UF and WAY ahead of UCF!
The NOLES are better than ALL of the teams mentioned above

1.0 PS = 0.98632 BHP
280PS and 268lb/ft of torque for the UK version
But this may just be another marketing issue, the air inlet is the same.
Euro cars weigh 3355 lbs with GT pack cars weighing 3399lbs.
You can knock 44lb's off those weights if you specify the RAYS alloys.
All Euro cars come with the aero kit and brembo brake - they also have a bigger fuel tank, cooler for the LSD, bigger radiator, oil cooler and a few other changes.
Per the UK site.

I rhink they are identical.
Unfortunately I am old enough to remember blueprinting, and certainly it used to be that some engines just produced more power.
Modern manufacturing techniques mean that you get a much smaller range of variances but no 2 engines will be absolutely identical.
I guess that when Nissan come to deciding on the numbers to use they do not directly translate from from one format to another but go with their market norm
So if you area manufacturer you publish the lowest normal figure, you would not wish bad press if the figures could not be achieved by reviewers. I think the RX8 had this problem. Perhaps the variance is just down to Nissan US vs Nissan EU and how they approach things.
