Which 350z to get?
I will be graduating from college in one year and plan to purchase a Z from my uncle who is a dealer. Most likely, it will be a Z fresh off a 2003-2005 lease with about 10-30k miles from a dealer auction and sold to me at cost. This will probably be about $15k-20k on average.
How significant are the differences between the base and other models? I am an engine person. I plan to do modifications focused on speed increases with the money I saved getting a used one at auction than a new one. Probably going to supercharge it, headers, exhaust, light flywheel, pulleys. May do a little more, but those are the priorities.
I dont really care about the computer monitoring tire pressure, and in general I dont like traction control systems (is this one good though?). I dont care for the spoiler either.
Am I best off buying the base model and using the cash elsewhere?

if you plan and mod it, personally wouldnt go above the enthusiast which is the 2nd one up.. all the rest are the same practically with minimal change, and the track although has brembos isn't worth that much more money, esp since your goin to mod in anyway.
Sounds like base or enthusiast are your best bets. They really provide the best value for 90% of buyers.
Only diff is the Enthu gets the Zenon headlights and traction control. If you are going to be racing or something you wont want the traction control.
