Default I have a tough decision to make

So, say you ordered a Silverstone Track model a few weeks ago, and say that the dealer said that he would order it at the beginning of October. Not being sure exactly how long it would take to fulfil the order, lets say he told you 90-120 days from the order date to delivery. Now, lets say that you get a call saying that there is a Chrome Silver that will be available some time in October that has the same options (excpet the airbags) and both are offered at MSRP. What do you do?

I dont see what the hard decision is...You cancel your pre-order and take the one available in October. Was your deposit non-refundable or something?

Yeah, I pretty much convinced myself (before this opportunity came up) that this is too much money to spend to not get exactly what I want. I was not too impressed by the CS one I saw in person, but I have still not seen a silverstone. It is just so hard to say no, but I think I am going to have to. I guess it isn't that long of a wait, but it certainly feels like it, and I know some people that ordered in Janury will have longer waits (I decided I wanted one just shortly after the pre-orders were over).

Anyone around here have a silverstone that I can look at?

zeelee has a silverstone. He had his clear bra installed right after mine was installed. He's in the East Bay; Fremont, I think. Maybe you can arrange a visit. Nice guy.

Since I owe you one(specialty rentals)and ive seen both colors let me give you my opinion.I saw both side by side and obviously both are nice colors but the silverstone seemed to stand out alot more.Closest color ive seen to silverstone on the road is the s2000 dark silver color. But after seeing the z in silverstone its a little darker than that and it brings out the curves in the car better than cs.My 2 cents wait wait wait wait wait!!!!!!!Plus youve driven the car its not like you cant survive a little more torture

I drove by the place in PA tonight, and the had both the CS and DB parked right next to each other. Actually, one of the employees was just pulling the DB up, with a girl in the passenger seat, obviously taking it our for a joy ride. Man, maybe I should see if they have any openings for some part time work.

I think that the CS isn't even my second favorite color, but pics like crbrickmans in https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....&threadid=6535 make me sure that there is no other color that I want. I just hate having to wait, and worry that something will happen to mess things up, etc. Patience is not one of my personality traits.

Well, the worst part is that I was ready to wait, and then they had to go and send me an email with a vin next to my name. I was fine with waiting until february before that!

I'll be at the dinner friday, you'll be there right? I keep going back and forth. It looks like we will have both there, so I will finally see them both side by side, in person.

I ordered the same as you silverstone track, I think I would take a CS instead. Remember you have no idea when your order will arrive, they only gave you an estimate, and my estimate is going to be off by at least 2 months.

But I think I would wait to get the head bags. I just like a little extra margin of safety.

Here are some C/S and Silverstone side-by-side pics that might be helpful. Note- the Silverstone was a Canadian Touring Model (ie- automatic w/ 18 inch rims)

Thanks for the pics, I am starting quite a collection of CS vs SS pics. Hopefully friday I will get to see them both in person, side by side. Hopefully I can finally decide what I want to do.
