Default Running cables through the firewall

I need to run a few wires/harness from the engine compartment into the cabin of a 350Z and I am not certain of the best way. I was looking at where the OEM wiring harness comes through behind the battery but, I wanted to make certain that this is the best, or easiest, place to run the wires/harness. I would appreciate any siggestions/links from anyone that has done this before. TIA

Nice! Running it through the grommet on the drivers side for the alarm I installed last night was a PAIN!
