I saw a 202 red Z06 Vette for sale for $40k even with about 8k miles. That owner must have taken a serious bath when he got rid of it.

I really doubt you can break even as you say. This means you are driving a car for 2-3 months for free. First there is the issue of sales tax. Does your state have any? and when selling a car is previous tax applied to the new car? This is some serious money right there.
