Where in Tennessee? I'm in Nashville and will help you if necessary. However I would think there are some left in Cali.

Hey Greg,

My dealer still has allocations left. But I'm down in Southern California. Still beats going to Tennessee. Call Michael Black at Douglas Nissan of Orange. 714-633-8430. He will have no problem with MSRP and just $500 down refundable.

OK for you lazy folks. Just called the dealer... also to ask him about my order. There are no allocations left for the remainder of the year. THEY ARE SOLD OUT!

Sorry guys.

Serramonte Nissan (in Daly City, I think) advertized that they had 2 slots left in Sunday's Chronicle.

Greg: It's basically just like buying a regular car. You sit down with the dealer when the car comes in and talk about financing. They'll probably talk to you about Nissan financing and depending on their interest rate and/or if they offer any attractive financing options you either go with them or go to your own lending institution and take out the loan yourself. As you said, you'll want to go to your own places first to get an idea on the best rates. The only difference is that you get to pick the exact car you want (color, model, options etc.) before hand instead of having to take what is in the dealers stock on his lot. The down side of course is that you'll have to wait until the car is built and is delivered.

Default thanks

thanks dr bonz - ok sorry i dont know very much about the process... ive had my z since i first started driving... so, not very caught up on the whole buying process..

so basically im putting a down payment on the car to have the right to buy it when it comes...

and when the car does arrive at the dealer.. thats when i get to do the dirty work with financing and all that talk right?

(im really just trying to make sure i have a month or more to finish all this bank loan stuff and dont have to worry about talking finance when i go preorder and put a down on the car in the next couple days....)

just making sure..

Correct. All you'll need is the downpayment when you sit down and do the preorder (which really isn't a big thing, should take about 10-15 mins.) No need to worry about financing until the car arrives.

Cool

Greg,
As of 2 days ago, Stevens Creek Nissan claimed they still had pre-order allocations. Call H. Jolly, Fleet Manager, at 408-234-6629.

Try boardwalk in redwood city also, the salesman wouldn't even tell me how much they were asking for the car when I asked over the phone so I'd be carefull with them though. I would only consider them if you were running out of options.

kraZy...

...no offence taken. it's just that you know i'm still in school rite now and its finals week, and i have a lot to study for and i'd rather be studying than 350 searching you know? wait actually let me rephrase that...i HAVE to study more than i have to search for a 350. in fact, i really should be studying rite now...hmm...anyway yeah i thought that maybe my life could be a little easier. that's all.
