Buy or Drive by?

Buy or Drive by?
This will be my 1st post and I have some ?'s that you all have heard b4.
1. 350Z or G35?
2. Z owners, would you of bought your Z knowing what u know?
3. One thing you would change about your Z?
4. Having 2 seats, is it really a pain?
I'm thinking of buying a Z, drove it today and it drives great and roomy inside. Overall it’s a very nice car. I drove the G35, love the exterior but not roomy on the inside. I currently own an IS300 and I enjoy driving it and love the heads it turns. I'm thinking of getting an additional vehicle since my wife takes off in my car.

Welcome to the board.
>I like both but have 350.
>Yes I would buy it again.
>One thing I could change- wish it were a bit lighter.
>2 seats- all depends on your situation. Do you really need four seats? It's just my wife and I, and kids are still a few years out so two seats are fine for my situation. My wife has a four seater if we ever need to take friends out. And you already have an IS so.....

1) 350Z
2) Yes, I would.
3) ditto on the clear bra and I wish it came in Graphite Gray.
4) I have only run into problems of having only two seats twice. Both time the problem was easily solved by someone else driving.

3) Not really, i kind of like everything about the car. This however is the first nice car i've had. I used to drive a grand am GT which is nice, but this is such a huge step up for me.
4) 2 seats are not a pain at all, the interior is very roomy, with lots of storage space. The only time you will run into a problem is if you want to go out with friends or family -- either take a different car, or take 2 cars.

Re: Buy or Drive by?
1. G35 is a great car, but not sporting..a lot more body roll, a lot more weight, and a lot more bodywork (see, the G35 does have more!) But if you need 4 seats...it may be up your alley. If you are shopping the G35c though, I would take a long hard look at a 330Ci.
2. I would absolutely buy it again. For some reason I have always loved Z cars (perhaps riding around in my mom's at the age of 9 had some effect)..but the Z looks like a car 3x its price, and drives like a car 2x its price. Sure it has some small problems, but if you read forums for other cars you will see they have similar problems (tire feathering notwithstanding).
3. I would change the clutch. The tranny is notchy, but I believe that is inherent to its design. The clutch, in my opinion, is a way for nissan to rip off the consumer. It lasts 30k and costs between $1k and $2k (depending on how bad your dealer gouges you) to replace.
4. Having 2 seats is fine for me. I'm a single guy, and I got tired of chauffering everyone around in my sedan. I'm not interested in showing off to others how cool my Z is...so if it seats me and just one other that's fine. And I don't have a backup car!
