I was under the impression the 350z's speed limiter was at 157mph. But after reading multiple "how fast have you gone in your Z" threads, I've noticed some are going 158mph.

Last night, I found a nice stretch of road. Got her up to 159mph on digital and analog tach. It took FOREVER to get from 155 to 159mph. I almost ran out of road. This is on a stock ecu, stock tires etc.. Didnt someone get to 158mph and take a picture before?

Sorry, I would of searched, but...it doesnt work

ps: cant wait for ECU flash. I wasnt even near redline while going 159mph.

 

the digital speedo and analog speedo are not always accurate...


jeff has his speed limiter removed and he has hit well over 160..

 

does he have an aftermarket speedo? Or does the digital one read past 160???

I'm pretty sure this reading was accurate. Last week I did 155mph per the analog/digital speedo and my RPMs were before 6k I believe. When I was doing 159mph my RPMs were right around 6k

 

no.. the needle just went past 160 and then stopped moving while still accelerating..

 

does it matter if you can go past 150?

it's super dangerous unless you're on an empty strip

 

What about the reading on the digital speedo ? Does it keep going up after 160 or does it stop ? How fast did Jeff go ??

 

ECU flash = NO speed limiter.

not that I have been near that. fastest I've gone is 140 out in the middle of BFE!

 

Im questioning the speedo on whether it reads the same speed as what the ECU thinks, OBDII wasnt matching up against the digital reading. only 1mph off at 40mph, but thats kinda wierd...
