I had a s2k before I got my Z. They both have a real nice feel to them, the s2k really felt like a adults go-cart and it felt a little smoother then the Z but to really feel that power if you werent hitting vtec it for sure lacked the torque. The Z is a beyond the go cart feel, even thought the mechanics of it feel rougher then the s2k its more refined roomier and it has a bunch of nice gadgets/sensors to monitor oil, tire, pressure. Not to mention lsd and tcs.

Speaking of.... I still havn't found my Z yet (has to be hardtop mtx, white/blue/black, under 100k miles, under $14k), have been looking for a month now. Lots of close calls, but either too many body imperfections or tranny issues. But am also looking at S2000's.

I put a clutch in an s2k, they're sweet little track cars, but absolutely no torque. You have to rev the **** out of them to get anywhere. The Z is a beast anywhere in the RPM range with its much higher torque numbers.

S2k's are fairly rare, not many in my area, but tons of automatic and roadster Z's.... more than likely i'll be getting a Z. The S just has a really clean and simple aesthetic appeal, and the mid-engine 50/50 distribution is really neat. I just wish they had turbo'd them so that they have 210-230 tq rather than 150-170.

I think the extra power and torque (2.0 vs 3.5) and added safety (2800lb vs 3300lb) of the Z makes it slightly better.

I've owned an s2k for 3 years, I recently bought a 2006 Z yesterday. So far Im trying to get used to the clutch. Is it only the Z that does this? But the clutch seem to disengage at the very top, I'm having a hard time with this lol. The s2k clutch release around the middle . I've only driven it for about 30 minutes trying to get a feel of the Z.

I bought a s2k in April, sold it in May. Part of the reason was I had no time to enjoy it due to work. The major reason was that the torque made it about as exciting to drive as my Honda Civic Hybrid...except in twisties.

I've noticed that most Honda clutches engage really early (close to the floor) compared to other cars. I feel like my Z (an '03) engages somewhere in the middle. It feels pretty comfortable to me, but I'm probably just used to it. Honda clutches always startle me :P

Anyway, I considered the S2000 vs the Z when I was shopping, but never even got to the test driving stage with the s2000. I read too many comparisons saying that the S2000 is simply too stiff of a daily driver.

I was also sure I wanted a 350Z coupe. I think the roadsters look like **** (flame shield ON), but the S2000's are awesome looking cars. I'd love to own one in the future, just not as a daily.

Had an 01 s2k for 5 years (modded), a 2004 for a month (traded in on my z)- LOVE S2k, but honestly reliability for s2k and z is about the same, and I forgot what it was like to have torque and not having to downshift 2 gears to go anywhere. Go for the Z. ANd unlike honda, Nissan didnt throw in the towel on sports cars. Sportiest car they put out now is a.... civic si.

I actually own 2 s2000s and a 350z. The Z is the daily, AP1 is the show car, and my AP2 is the weekend toy. I chose the Z for DD status because it's more spacious (I'm 6'2") and has a more useful power band. lol... Yeah, I know more spacious... At-least compared to the S...

The s2k never crossed my mind. It was a threeway tie between a Hemi Charger, Rx-8 or a 350z.
