Everytime i see a S2000 i ask my self why didnt i get one...

Everytime i see a 350z i ask myself why i didnt get one...

Everytime i see my G35 it reminds me why i didnt get anything else..

On a serious note i Love all 3 cars.. i went through months of debate on which one to get.. It could have gone either way....at first it was between the 350z and the S2000 for so long....Then something hit me and i just wanted a Backseat...made my decision easier

I test drove 2 Z's before I chose my S2000. One was stock the other had $8,000 worth of mods done to it. They were great to drive but the handling and fun factor on the S2000 is what got me. Also the interior in the 350Z was not appealing at all.. I thought I was going to break the door handle off when I grabbed it to open the door. Everything looked so cheap and flimsy. But still a great car to drive - just not my style.

LOL I owned an S2k for 2 years. LOVED it, but the interior was a piece of **** as well. The plastics were just as cheap and thin as my Z's...and several parts did break off in the 40k I had the car. That said I'm not fond of either car's interior in terms of quality. Both are great in terms of design, IMHO.

Well, that’s why they are $30k cars. H&ll, a base 350Z costs $26,500 and an Enthusiast is $29k. Come on, what do you expect? All the performance, none of the fluff.

Well, I agree they are both great buys...but let's face it: it would not cost nissan/honda much more to do those interiors better. I would gladly pay $400 more for softer plastics and a nicer headliner...and I think many Z buyers feel the same way. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong. It happens a lot.

try fitting a 7'10" surfboard in a S2k or even a 350z roadster or G35c for that matter. The hatchback sure does come in handy.

This is a hilarious post. Of all the things you could be talking about, you're concerned about the damn appearance of the car. You're comparing a convertible with no space and no torque to a coupe with one of the hugest motors to be thrown in a "sport compact" car.

The S2K is fun on the track, but a Z or even a G will keep up with it there because of the motor. Then, when it comes time to go to work, the Z is easier to drive.

You're paying $32K for a car that has the same power output as a Miata with a turbo. If you're into modifying cars, buy a Z for 26-28 and put some wheels or whatever on it.

Anyway, when I was in Japan last month, I'd always see hot cars driving around Osaka. For example, a red 360 Spyder, red 360 not-Spyder, Blue 456GT, tons of SL500 and SL600s, and lots of Porsche convertibles- Boxsters and 911s. All of them were driven by girls. The rich guys that can afford them buy them for their girlfriends and wives. The (rich) guys all drive Nissan Cimas, Huge Benzs, and Toyota Crowns. Or GTRs I suppose.

Also on the Boxster- the Z was built to kill the Boxster, and it succeeds. Almost reminds me of Hattori in that Best Motoring race...

plain n simple...

friend has an s2k

I have an 350z(auto)

-if s2k is reving on vtec(dropping the clutch) then it's a fairly even match.

-without the dropping the clutch I'll easily pull 2 cars ahead and inch little by little until his vtec kicks in he holds me at my distance I have already have on him.

-In the end s2k can hold it's place until 100mph it just takes alot of work(dropping the clutch)

both stock by the way.

Thank you "white_s2k"

However... I have always preffered 6 cyl over 4 due to the 'feel' of them. If that makes me an imbecile I'll gladly accept it!

You're basically saying that because the Z has 2 more cylinders that it has the "advantage. period." No, don't think so buddy. As has been discussed throughout the thread both have their advantages over the other.

I cannot disagree with that. But we all value different things different. Like colors. Music. Films. Games. Books.

Well... I just ranked ONE thing in a car that I felt was the edge; 6 cyl! The Honda has, basically, everything else that can match the Nissan in my book: good looks, road handling, performance value/$ etc. But...

You guessed it! I like the 6 cyl over a 4 cyl! If I could afford a 12 cyl Ferarri/Aston Martin (well if I sell my house and firm.... ;-)) I would go...

12 cylinder!

But... then again. Perhaps you do not understand. Or maybe you do now?

Thumbs up

oh yeah Mustang V8 period. HAHAHa.

I saw a dyno of the new 05 Mustang GT. 268hp and like 280 something torque. Dam we're gonna get schooled by a GT. lol.

That was with an auto tranny too.

Motortrend.
