Chrome Silver or Daytona Blue?
I originally ordered a Chrome Silver Enthusiast 6sp and it seems like I have been waiting forever for it to come in. I was speaking to my dealer today and he said that he had a Daytona Blue coming in within the next couple of weeks that would be available to me. It has all of the same options and is an Enthusiast as well. For those of you that have the Daytona Blue, do you love the color, do you think it will look dated in 3-5 years, and does it seem as if it would be durable? I ordered the silver simply because it is a timeless color and tends to hold up very well over the years. I dont even have a vin for my original order yet and at this rate I have lost my patience. Should I wait for my original order or should I go with the Daytona Blue? What should I do!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

GO for the Blue, I love it it looks great, as for durability mine is garaged most of the time as I work from home so I shouldn;t have a problem, but I don;t see where it will wear any worse than silver if you take care of it.

I'd maybe opt for the blue if I were you and really liked it. Lots of chrome silver Z's already around when compared to the blue ones. I've seen one daytona blue one pass by in oncoming traffic and it certainly caught my eye!

mike, i think VQ and Westpak have a conflict of interest. I have the KYO. It looks like chrome in broad daylight. If i could do it over again, i'd go blue. I was worried at the time of pre-order that the blue was to dark. So i went KYO.

In my opinion Daytona Blue will catch more looks than the silver, it's just a bright and out of place color (The Daytona Blue). What I mean by out of place is that not many cars sport that color and it's less common. White, silver, and black I would think would be the most common colors all together. Again that's my opinion not an actual fact .
So the blue has my vote based on rareity (sp?).

I think that blue has won the vote! I saw one at the dealership in the showroom and it was definitely eye catching. It takes on a different look depending on lighting, etc. There is no question, I am going for the blue and thanks to everyone for your advise. Daytona Blue hear I come!

Silver is classic and almost everyone has silver.. the TT, Lexus, and 350Z.. BUT the blue does stand out.. and i've gotten alot of compliments on the color.. You really need to like blue..THE first nissan in 1979.. i bought was blue.. so i am continuing my own tradition..

I agree, chrome silver is "the" classic color. It's timeless. To me there are so many silver cars in general but the color never gets tired, especially on a Porsche. But there are a few blue cars out there like the daytona blue(i.e Civic Si, Integra) and they already seemed tired looking. I think the blue is a really nice color now, but I think its a fad color. I didn't want the most popular color either(chrome silver) so I went with Silverstone.
