I know there are a few people including myself that were given a delivery date of Oct. 2. Has anyone received their car yet? I know in the past most people were receiving their cars a week early on average. I've been checking Nissan's dealer inventory everyday and still nothing is showing up. I spoke w/my salesman Friday and he did confirm that my car is scheduled to arrive and the 2nd. I would think that I would have heard something by now. With only 2 mores days, it better show up this time. I ordered Jan 15th and I'm tired of waiting. Especially since I have to hear everyday from my coworkers that they see Z's everywhere now. Some people actually think that lying about having my Z on order. I really starting to think that it's not meant for me to purchase this car. I mean with all of the bugs that still need to be worked out and delay after delay with my car. And to top it all off....my company announce Friday that they would be cutting 1700 jobs in my area. ****! I'm worrying myself sick. I know Im in a good position to be spared...but, you just never know. Anyway, sorry I got off track. I have a lot weighing on my mind. Thanks for listening.

 

I also have an oct2 delivery status but still no car... I heard news of a strike on the ports in the west coast, but I dont think this will affect our delivery. relax and be patient.

 

My car showed up in the dealers inventory on 9/28. The dealer said I would take delivery on either Oct 1 or 2.

Now that the Ports are shut down, I can only hope that it came in on the United Spirit which docked on Sept. 20. If it did, the dealer will be calling me within the next two days. Otherwise, it means that it is still on board the Hual Traveller, out in the bay at Long Beach.

Hell, I can't even concentrate on the Bronco/Raven game, which by the way, I'm losing. (Parley ticket)

 

My dealer told me the Second of October. I stopped by this past Friday and saw the inventory sheet and guess what it really says OCT '02, meaning October 2002. Guess I will get it sometime this month. The only good news is that it is on the boat because I have a VIN. My guess is that I will get it sometime around the 14 of this month.

Question: That whole port thing doesn't affect the East Coast does it?

My salesman made the same mistake. I guess I should have known. I remember this being mentioned in past posts. I called my dealer today. I was told my car is "at port of entry" and has been there for 2days now. He reassured me that the lockout in Cali has no effect on my delivery. I would be contacted 24hrs in advanced when my car is going to arrive. So, I continue to wait. I feel like an idiot now. I've been telling everyone that I would be getting my car this week.

 

With an october 2 delivery date, i cant imagine what i would do if i had to wait another two weeks or so.. perhaps the lockout temporarily slowed delivery of shipments and things will go smoothly for the next few days. i dont think i was ever this crazy about a car. i mean, its only a car right?

 

I was told Oct. 14th, and picked my brickyard touring Z up about 3 hours ago

I was told ETA of 10/2. Nissan website was showing my dealer receiving 3 Z's that day. Called the dealership on 10/2, only 2 arrived, but not mine. Got the call on 10/3 at 10:45AM to come and get it! I ordered on 4/1. Didn't drive it a lot today due to the weather (squalls from hurricane Lily)But so far the Bose sounds pretty good. I was suprised, since I listened to one last month in the showroom in the 1st preorder Z that arrived,and it was absolute cr*p. Listened to both the radio and a CD, no problems with the sub or auto volume going crazy.

 

Which dealership? My salesman @ Tom Peacock called me today to tell that they had received 2 Z's today. He said that they were scheduled to arrive Oct. 6. He said mine is scheduled for Oct. 8, but it may show up this weekend. Man, I sure hope so. I swear everyone is beginning to think I full of s*** about having a Z on order.
