Motor Trend one-year test verdict
Did anyone see the new Motor Trend? They have an article on the one-year test verdict for a Track 350Z. Some really nice comments from the editors; this is my favorite:
Another says, "The shifter has to be one of the two or three best in the business".
Not bad! The article is pretty fair, praising the car's power and handling but criticizing the road noise and interior. I pretty much agree with what they said.

"Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Porsche. I question the need for these pricey exotics. The Z has much more useable power around town and can be just as gratifying as the supercars. In fact, it's not a stretch to say that the Z would satisfy 99 percent of most enthusiasts' needs"

I like the interior
Thanks for posting the article excerpt. I am going to check out the magazine today.
In regards to the interior:
Some may say that the interior is cheap...and they are entitled to their opinion. Personally, I love the interior of the Z. I like how things are simple and futuristic looking. The door panels are one of my favorite stylings of the Z.
I remember the first time I sat in my friend's 350 and falling in love with the interior. It was so rebellious and against what every other car looked like lately (luxurious.) Nothing is wrong with a luxurious interior...but I wanted a sports car.
Kinda digressed from the original post...Sorry, it just reminded me of how much I love the Z.

I always read about how cheap-feeling the Z's interior is. I gotta tell ya, I just don't understand that criticism. I have a 2004.5 Touring 6spd, and if there was any cheap feeling parts in the 2003, they've been corrected for 2004.5. Maybe reviewers are just looking for SOMETHING to criticize, or suggest for improvement. The only improvement I can suggest is, of course, more power!!!

Comparison with Lamborghini and Ferrari

my tires are still fine after 7000miles, and 5000 miles on the originals. absolutely no signs of feathering.
its just not on all cars I guess.
I also have no gear grinds whatsoever on any gear.
I have no rattles.
hell I have no problems except that my camber is off, but Im not so sure I didnt cause that.
flawless cars do exist, and apparently they got one too.

5k miles and absoletely no problems with my Z. No feathering, no grease streaks, no squeaks. As for the interior, I love the Z's interior. I never got why people would want leather covered everything in their cars. It's not like you're going to be touching the leather on your dash or whatever while you're driving or racing... unless it's meant for your head in really bad frontal car crashes...
