Default Removable Tow Hook ?

Did anyone notice this tow hook in our Z's? good idea if you ask me. it looks better than most tow hooks on cars.



i didnt know about this until about 5 mintues ago. shoot, i havent even looked at the spare tire yet.

It looks good, but its use is limited. For example, you don't want to have anyone pull it at an angle - only directly straight ahead - otherwise damage could occur. Check for some more posts on this issue.

The tow hook is NOT for towing.

Read the manual.

I put the tow hook on every time I go on track. While I haven't lodged myself in the mud yet, I know eventually I'll need to be towed out... when I work an event, it always pisses me off when a car goes off, gets stuck, and the idiot doesn't have the tow hook handy...

I know a time or two in the past where such a tow hook would have been very useful...

Even if you cant pull at much of an angle, straight on is still a nice option to have....

back in march, i hit a patch of black ice, and rolled my z into a ditch off of 684. luckily no body damage what so ever. the ditch was about 5 below the surface of the highway, so the only way the tow truck could winch my car out was a slight angle, he bent the hook but got the car out... iam thankful for having the hook...
