You can wax it the day you bring it home. I dont know why there is this big misconception about having to wait. Anyway, if you dont want to spend the $$ on Zaino, go with the New Meguires NXT wax.. it is awesome and smells so good you wanna eat it.

Make sure you clay the car to remove any impurities the first time around. You would be surprised at all the crap in the paint that comes from the factory.

DITTO on the claying...

Use a clay bar before you do any waxing.

I think it all depends on the color of the car and what you hope the wax will do.

I've heard that carnuba waxes such as mother's are more protective while synthetic waxes such as Meguiar's NXT are for looks (ie depth and sometimes gloss). I've heard of people using a base coat of NXT with an overlying coat of carnuba, I've never tried it myself.

The Zaino is great stuff, but just too much work for me. My car is a daily driver...and I'm not going to use special-order chemicals to clean it. If it was a show car, I'd probably go w/Zaino or pinnacle S. or one of those high dollar products. Personally I think the mother's (applied every 6-8 wks) provides adequate protection and gives a good appearance..although I have a PPW car so fancy waxes don't improve the depth much.

Zaino doesn't take long at all. The first time you use it it may take longer, but all those steps you should use for ANY wax or sealant you use. After you get the first layer on it's very easy. Put it on, wipe it off.

wow Ninja Z. your seats look awwwweesoome.. damn. matches the inside and everything. i never really thought about even changing the seats to aftermarket, cause so far i've only seen not-so-great ones, and ones that don't really blend with the car. but yours is nice.. i might have to consider all black sparco or recaro seats when i get my car. :P
sorry not thread-jacking!!
