Anyone else's touring leather "cracking" ?
I guess it's not cracking, but after 5 weeks and 1500 miles it seems as if my leather is creasing incredibly, esp at the sides where you are getting in and out of the car.. I'm not especially heavy @ 150 lbs... The passenger side looks fine . Anyone else worried about long term durability of the touring factory leather? Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

My Z is doing it as well. But so is my Honda Accord and Nissan Pathfinder. It is just what leather does. I am just going to make sure I keep it clean and use a leather conditioner on it.

I don't think theres much you can do. Just don't slide off the side bolster every time you get in/out of the car. And be sure to use a quality leather conditioner.

303 Aerospace Protectant for Vinyl:

Brad4rdHay Claims:
The leather in your Z, along with 95% of auto leather produced today is clear-coated. Meaning its sprayed with a thin, beathable coating of vinyl. So, leather should be treated like vinyl.
Do you agree?

Yup, the best thing you can do to finished leather is to protect it from UV Rays and from your sweat (which leather conditioners don't do). 303 does this very well and provides just enough hidration for the water-dyed leather.
Slowly, some companies are switching thir oil based leather conditioners to simple water-based vinyl protectants (like 303) but in a a thick cream form, making you think its something special. Others are just sticking with their old formulas.
